Spiritual Direction
"God is doing something before we know it. The task is not to get God to do something we think needs to be done, but to become aware of what God is doing so that we can respond to it and participate and take delight in it.”
-Eugene Peterson

What is Spiritual Direction?
“Spiritual direction is a one-on-one relationship organized around prayer and conversation directed toward deepening intimacy with God. Spiritual directors are not experts, nor do they direct. Rather, they journey with others who, like themselves, are committed to the process of spiritual transformation in Christ. And most important, they seek to help those with whom they journey discern the presence and leading of the Spirit of God, the One sent as our true Spiritual Director.”
-David Benner, Sacred Companions

What does a session look like?
A Spiritual Direction session is typically one hour in length, and consists of a combination of silence, slow conversation, prayer and listening. Sometimes Scripture or prayer exercises are used. It is a time to breathe deep, and settle in, as we work together to listen and notice the work and invitation of God in your life.

Krista offers in-person Spiritual Direction sessions in Winnipeg. Online sessions are also available.

How Often Do you Meet?
Spiritual Direction sessions are scheduled in a rhythm that suits the directee. For many, this is often done on a monthly basis, or around a frequency that meets the needs of that season.

What is the Cost?
Krista has a sliding scale of $45- $60 for a one hour session of Spiritual Direction.

In the case that the above rates would prohibit you from taking spiritual direction, we will work out a rate you can afford.
